The Year of Faith

ASK - SEEK - FIND

THE LORD OUR GOD
The Lord has chosen us to be his people.
The God we worship is the God of Abraham,
Isaac and Jacob. We also look forward in hope
to a glorious future in the Kingdom of our Father.

My Dear Friends,

On Saturday the 7th September, as part of their participation in the "Year of Faith", the Altar Servers Guild of St Stephen, is going on pilgrimage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. The day, as always, will consist of Mass at the Shrine, Rosary Procession to the Abbey grounds along the 'holy mile' and then Devotions and Benediction.

Sadly, due to the proximity of my departure to Fulham, I am unable to go myself, but Mr Michael Waterford (our parish MC and leader of the servers) has kindly volunteered to lead our parish group. It has been decided to open this trip to other members of our parish family who might like to go along as well. The price will depend on the number of people who sign up, and our altar servers will of course not be charged. If you're interested in going along do sign the list at the back of the church ASAP.

Some of you will remember the wonderful time we had a few years ago when we went last. I have vivid memories of sitting on the beach at Wells next-the Sea during the later part of the day!!

Please note that Thursday of this week is the Solemnity of the Assumption and a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be Mass at 10 am and at 8 pm.

God Bless.

FR DENNIS' FAREWELL PRESENTATION
