My Dear Friends,

I am deeply sorry that there has been some disruption to our usual round of Masses over the last week, and I am particularly grateful to Gillian for trying desperately to sort things out - but it was not to be, and some problems did arise.

The fault lies, I'm afraid, with the UK Border agency that failed to provide our visiting priest, Fr Williams Aso, with the Visa he needs to come from Belgium where he is studying for his Doctorate! He is very keen to come and may still turn up - who knows?

I could not allow the situation to continue so I have flown home a week early from my holiday to make sure our parish life gets back to normal. I'll just have to try and make up for this later on.

However I would just like to say a huge thank you to all the priests who were able to help out. It is deeply appreciated.

It is just a fortnight now before we celebrate our wonderful Patronal Festival. There is a notice further down the page about this and I know that there are lists in the porch asking for help with the catering on the day. Many thanks to those who have already signed up to help, but more are needed, after all many hands make light work!

God Bless.

1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion

Parents of children hoping to make their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in 2012/2013 are asked to collect a registration form from the church porch and to return the completed application to the Presbytery before 9th September. These forms are for children who will be in Year 3 next term.

The Association for the Propagation of the Faith

If you have a Red APF Box at home could you return it as soon as possible please, it is time for us to open them up and send the money on to the APF for their work.
