My Dear Friends,

With our feast day of St Gregory in mind I would like to take this opportunity of asking you, once again, to consider helping out in whatever way you can. The lists will remain in the porch for this Sunday and I do hope that by the end of the day there will be a host of people wanting to be part of our celebration. We look forward to welcoming back in particular those youngsters who made their Holy Communion earlier this year, it is a special day for them, but let's make this a truly wonderful parish celebration.

Next weekend will also see the launch of our Stewardship Renewal Campaign. It is amazing to think that it has been some eight years or so since our last campaign and we do need to look very carefully and prayerfully at our parish giving.

Finally on Friday we shall, at last, welcome Fr Williams Aso to the parish for a visit. He will be resident in the Presbytery until September 10th when he needs to return to Belgium to continue his studies. Please do not hesitate to offer him some hospitality, which I feel sure he would enjoy. Furthermore as we hope that he will be a regular visitor this is an excellent way for him to get to know us.

God Bless.

1st Reconciliation and 1st Holy Communion

Parents of children hoping to make their 1st Reconciliation and 1st Communion in 2012/2013 are asked to collect a registration form from the church porch and to return the completed application to the Presbytery before 9th September. These forms are for children who will be in Year 3 next term.

Baptism Preparation

Monday 3rd September at 8pm in the Church hall. Please telephone Gillian at the Presbytery as this is by appointment only.

FEAST OF ST GREGORY THE GREAT - Sunday 3rd September

SUNG MASS PROCESSION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AND BENEDICTION 11.00 am. Parents of children who made their 1st Holy Communion earlier this year are reminded that it is their children's privilege to 'attend' the Blessed Sacrament. Parish party after Mass.
