My Dear Friends,

I am sure the dreadful pictures and reports from the Philippines have touched all our hearts. I am also aware of the large numbers of Filipinos who work in our hospitals, who are also great supporters of our parishes.  As you know a National Disaster Appeal has been set up, of which CAFOD - The Catholic Fund for Overseas Development - is a member.  There will be a collection at the end of each Mass this weekend which we will send to CAFOD.  If you have no money with you today you can put your donation in an envelope, marking it and leave it at the Presbytery during the week.

God Bless.

Fr. Paul

WESTMINSTER YOUTH MINISTRY

The Youth Service is organising a training day for young people interested in Catholic communications at the Centre for Youth Ministry, Somers Town, on Saturday 23 November.  This free training day is open to anyone between the ages of 16 and 26, and will consist of a short section of theory and practical training in how to promote and spread our faith in public.  To book your seat email frankvanvelzen@rcdow.org.uk

CONFIRMATION 2014

The Parish Confirmation programme starts in January 2014 with sessions on Monday evenings. If you are in Year 9 or above and wish to join the programme, you are invited to write to Fr. Paul, briefly explaining your reasons for wishing to be confirmed.  Your letter should also include your name, address, telephone number, parents email address, date of birth, where you attend school, which Mass on Sunday you normally attend and a passport-size photograph.  All letters of application must be in the Presbytery by SUNDAY 24TH NOVEMBER at the latest.  Please mark the outside of the envelope "CONFIRMATION 2014".  ENROLMENT MASS SUNDAY 8TH DECEMBER.

ST. SWITHUN WELLS' NURSERY 2014

Application forms for admission to nursery for children born between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011 are now available from the school office.  Closing date is Friday 31st January 2014 and offers will be made on Friday 2nd May 2014.  Please note that an offer of a nursery place does not guarantee your child a place in the main school.
