CHRIST THE KING

Today we celebrate the universal King. He did not
claim to be only the King of the Jews. His kingdom
was not to be an exclusive one. He is king of all who
are on the side of truth and listen to his voice.

My Dear Friends,

As we stand at the end of another Christian year our thoughts turn to Christmas and our Advent journey, and this is the last weekend you will have to sign up to be part of The Posada journey. I have placed the statue group in the sanctuary so that those who are unfamiliar with this devotion can see what a lovely image it is. During the days leading up to Christmas the image will travel around the parish visiting a different home every night.

Truly the night Mary and Joseph 'stay' in your home provides a great opportunity to share together the true meaning of Christmas and is a wonderful way of preparing for the feast itself. There are lists in the porch - so sign up today.

Finally it is a particular joy to receive Craig Rogers into the Church at our Sunday morning Mass. Craig is serving with the RAF and after completing his preparations for Confirmation in the Falklands is back home for a few weeks. Sadly he, his wife and young son will be moving to Cyprus in the New Year, they will be missed!

God Bless.
