SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT

OUR LIBERATION FROM FEAR

Fear is the most crippling of all the emotions and
there are many things in this world to make us afraid.
But today we lift up our souls to Christ who comes to
deliver us from fear. We stand erect, hold our heads
high and dwell in confidence.

Mass - People of the Parish

My Dear Friends,

I have had a few experiences in recent weeks which have indicated to me that the people of St. Gregory's really do care for others!  It has been really encouraging to discover in visiting folk at home or in hospital that others from our parish have been there already and in some cases have been visiting for some time.  Last weekend's appeal for the Women of the Well elicited 74 pairs of thermal socks, 60 pairs of gloves, 45 toiletry sets and other gifts.  Thank you very much for such kindness and generosity.  I've no doubt that the up-coming appeals will be equally responded to.  In these austere times we may well be feeling the pinch - but we need to remind ourselves that there are many around us who are really struggling.  Your efforts to help them will be much appreciated.

God Bless, Fr. Paul
