My Dear Friends,

Last Sunday our thoughts and prayers were focused on Christ - The Good Shepherd. We prayed for vocations and gave thanks to God for the increasing number of men in our Diocese who feel called to serve the Church as priests. With this in mind we took up the annual collection for the Priest Training Fund.

I want to thank you for your kindness and generosity, and be assured that every pound we collected will be used to fund the training of our new priests. We have been able to send some 1500 to the diocese a truly wonderful amount.

Many of you will have taken the opportunity of viewing the new proposals for the site opposite the church. Frankly I feel they are less than well thought through and will lead to endless disruption, especially for us. If you haven't seen the plans yet they may be viewed on line at www.citygrovesouthruislip.com - we will need to watch this closely.

Finally the latest issue of the Westminster Record is on sale in the porch. As always it is an interesting read so be sure to buy your copy as you leave Mass today.

God Bless.
