Said Mass - Pro Populo

My Dear Friends,

On Tuesday morning the Cardinal electors will go into solemn conclave and the hours of "waiting for white smoke" will begin! So that we may join our prayers with theirs, our morning Mass will be for "the Election of a New Pope." At the end of Mass the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed until 11am, so that we may spend time with our Lord asking for God's gracious guidance on those taking this momentous decision.

Once again there will be the opportunity for us to remember our loved ones at the altar of repose on Maundy Thursday, through our "Lilies of Remembrance". Please write the name of the people you wish to be remembered on the slips of paper provided. Please also take an envelope for your donation, and return it to the presbytery as soon as possible.

An important element of Lent is repentance ~ saying we are sorry to God. Sadly this is often neglected, but to pretend that we are ready for Easter, without having put things right with God, is simply to be unprepared! I do hope we will all avail ourselves of this Sacrament in our run up to Easter.

God Bless.

BAPTISM PREPARATION

The next baptism preparation class is at 8pm Monday 11th March. If you hope to attend, please contact Gillian at the Presbytery to book as these classes are by appointment only.

WALK WITH ME PROGRAMME

Are you able to spare a couple of hours on a Monday evening to help with this important task? We are looking for adults to assist children who are not attending catholic schools to receive a better knowledge of the Catholic faith. Please speak to Fr. Dennis if you are able to help out with this wonderful work.
