My Dear Friends,

Our Archbishop is once again inviting those who are celebrating a significant wedding anniversary this year (10/25/40/50/60 years) to join him at a special Mass of Thanksgiving for the Sacrament of Matrimony on Saturday 18th May at 3 pm. During Mass couples will be invited to renew their marital commitment and to pray for their families.

If you 'qualify' and would like to be included please let me have the following details as soon as possible: names of husband and wife, date of wedding, full postal address and either an email address or telephone number so that personal invitations may be sent.

Today also marks the end of the formal Christmas season. If anyone is able to help with the taking down of the Christmas tree after Mass on Sunday evening it would be much appreciated.

Finally, it is with a real sense of pride that we congratulate our parish school (St Swithun Wells) on achieving an OUTSTANDING commendation from the OFSTED school inspectors. It comes as no surprise to us who know the school well, and is well-deserved recognition for all the wonderful work that is done there. So congratulations everyone and thank you!

God Bless.
